And it’s the layers to her character, specifically, that drew the 7th Heaven alum to the project, which began streaming May 20.
“She’s just this extremely complicated woman who presents in one way, and wants you to think this thing about her, and have this perfect life,” she noted, “when really that there’s so much stuff going on behind the scenes in her own home. I just love exploring humans like that.”
Thankfully, when it comes to her own home—and how she and the kids are planning to celebrate Justin on Father’s Day in June—things are much more clearly cut.
“Justin loves to golf, so I hope he gets to golf that day,” she said. “And of course it’s fun to spend time with your kids, but from everything I know about Mother’s Day where you just really need a break and want a solo break, I will take the kids and he can just go have a great day.”
