Patrick Mahomes is inspired by his wife’s own competitive drive as he heads into his fifth Super Bowl game.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback praised Brittany Mahomes‘ winning mindset, fiery spirit and regular pep talks to him days before his team faces off against the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans.
“She’s more competitive than I am,” Patrick told reporters at a press conference Feb. 6 about his wife, who often cheers him on at games. “So when I’m calm and I’m trying to figure out what I’m trying to do and trying to make sure my mind’s right, she just always gets me like, ‘Let’s go out there and get it.'”
The 29-year-old continued, “She always is telling me, like, she’s ready to compete just as much as I am. I think having that fire, it bleeds through our entire family and it makes us, as a family, so close-knit because Brittany’s going out there and being the one that’s willing to lay it on the line every single day.”
