Brian Austin Green’s Ex Vanessa Marcil Shares MGK Meme After His “Toxic” Comment
Brian Austin Green is standing by his statements.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum defended characterizing his relationship with ex Vanessa Marcil as “toxic” when asked if he had any regrets about the polarizing remark.
“No,” he told People in an interview published May 19, “because everything that’s come recently has genuinely been for the purpose of speaking about a relationship.”
Brian, who shares son Kassius, 23, with the actress, noted that his comments weren’t about “pointing fingers” or “placing blame on anyone” to begin with.
“If she takes things that way, then there’s nothing I can do about it,” he continued. “It’s pretty obvious just in listening to the things that I say and what it is we do on our show, that’s not our intention.”
E! News has reached out to reps for Brian and Vanessa for comment but has not heard back.
The 51-year-old—who also shares kids Noah, 11, Bodhi, 10, and Journey, 7, with ex-wife Megan Fox as well as Zion, 2, with fiancée Sharna Burgess—initially shared his reflections on his relationship with Vanessa earlier this month, explaining that his mother’s tendency of “smothering” him drew him to partners who didn’t possess that trait.
