Billie Eilish is wondering what was that fake photo made for.
The two-time Oscar winner had some fun calling out social media users’ negative reactions to her red carpet fashion at the 2025 Met Gala on May 5. What made her happier than ever, though, was the fact that she wasn’t even at the event.
“Seeing people talk about what I wore to this year’s Met Gala being trash,” Billie said through laughter in a video shared to her Instagram Story May 14. “I wasn’t there. That’s AI. I had a show in Europe that night.”
Indeed, the “Birds of a Feather” singer spent the night of the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”-themed benefit—hosted by Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton and Vogue’s Anna Wintour—performing the second consecutive Amsterdam show of her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour.
“Let me be!” Billie continued in the video, while eating an ice cream cone. “I wasn’t even there.”
