Tony Hawk is sliding into life as a grandparent.
The skateboarding icon revealed he’s soaking up every moment as a first-time grandfather to 7-month-old Ronin, the baby boy his son Riley Hawk recently welcomed with wife Frances Bean Cobain.
“We are truly enjoying it,” Tony told E! News’ Francesca Amiker in an exclusive interview. “We are comfortable with parenting, obviously, but this is the most fun you can have as a parent, because you’re just the fun crew.”
In fact, the 56-year-old—who is also dad to kids Spencer Hawk, 24, and Keegan Hawk, 22, with ex-wife Erin Lee as well as Kadence Hawk, 15, with ex-wife Lhotse Merriam—shared the key to his special bond with his grandson.
“I will give myself credit that I have made [Ronin] laugh the hardest so far,” Tony said proudly. “There’s no shame in my face or my dancing game at all. I’ll do whatever it takes to get a smile on him.”
