Even if you’re not an anime maven, you’re likely aware of the Dragon Ball universe. The original manga was released in 1984, and it went on to become an international sensation, spawning movies, video games, collectible cards, mountains of merchandise and more than one anime series.
“Dragon Ball Z” may be the best and most readily accessible series, although fans of the genre have debated this point endlessly.
Set in a sci-fi/fantasy hybrid alternative universe, it follows the saga of Son Goku (a young boy) and Bulma (a young girl) as they strive to collect all of the eponymous Dragon Balls in a quest for power and glory.
