Google, Apple, and Meta has handed 3.1 million user accounts over to the U.S. government in the last 10 years.

The number of user accounts given over has increased by 600% in that time and has included emails, files, messages and other highly personal data. It illustrates a growing appetite from governments and authorities to take advantage of huge, often unencrypted, data reserves.
